Rempang, Batam Mission Outreach November 2006
The Team arrived safely at OLPS around 7.30 pm this evening with the feeling of having truly answered His call to be God's Love in Action.
We upgraded God's Chapel in time for Sunday Mass with the local parishioners and families of the children, painted and washed the boys' dormitories making them sweet smelling, mended the leaking roof, helped built a rubbish dump, helped dig a new drainage, had time to make merry with the locals and played games with the children on Sunday, and most importantly of all, did all these in the name of Jesus everyday, with Mass in the morning, the Angelus Prayer at 11 am, praise and songs, and prayer reflection in the evenings.
We also had prayers for our mission outreach trip at different times over the past month from the following groups,
1. Catholic Women League
2. Partners in the Gospel
3. Family Life Intercessory
and also Fr Greg, Fr Fred, Monica Fung, Sylvia Especkerman and many individuals who promised they will pray for the trip, without which, we would not have been able to achieve so much in such a short time.We all felt that Jesus was with us and loving us every step of the way. It is when we let others know that we are helping them in God's name that we truly live out our Faith.
May God be praised!
